Peace Arch Area was formed in 1986 and encompasses Langley, White Rock and the eastern portion of Surrey. We have 8 active Districts, with no Divisions.

Peace Arch

We are best known for our landmark, the Peace Arch, a symbol of the longest undefended border in the world. Each June, Girl Guides of Canada, Scouts Canada, Girl Scouts of America and Boy Scouts of America jointly sponsor Hands Across the Border in honour of the opening of the Peace Arch over 80 years ago. Over 10,000 boys and girls from both countries gather to celebrate this anniversary.

We also have Fort Langley, a National Historic Park, within our borders. Fort Langley was a busy outpost of the Hudson's Bay Company, most popular around 1848.
